Album Notes

EPIDEMIC ENTERTAINMENT: ILVYRIS
Lyrics/Flow: Good
Production: Good
OH SHIT! Einstein Here, my boy Ritual handed me this disk and asked me what I thought of it. So here goes...

So im cruisin in the whip, and i pop it in and my first thought it real epic. nah mean, first beat is real big soundin with orchestra hits, nice flow def a standout, good lyrical wordplay.overall the beats are headnoddin, they have a diverse selection of lyrical joints, street joints, and club/party joints. I liked the beat on track 4 it gets you jumpin party style. typical-first line is "..girl your ass is phat." track 7 is like a reggae joint, good dance beat, but these cats def know what hits at the club. this was a little mix from the upcoming album entitled Ilepidemic, due out this Fall.
Produced by Off-trak Productions.

Formed in 1997, ILVYRIS (Ill Lyrics Vocalize Youth Rage In Society) and its five members, Drama, Majid, Nappy Head Guerilla, Ninja and Mickey Numbers, have one album under their belt (Prepare Ya-Self! Get Ya Gas Mask!) and are poised to drop their sophomore project, Ilepidemic. It jumps off with a promising start, with a one-two punch of the piano-fueled opener "2003" and club-ready "Acapulco Gold", and to spice things up, they add a Caribbean flavor with some hot R&B vocals to "Tonite", and effective gunshot sound effects on "Don't Talk!". On the other end of the spectrum, their anti-cop anthem "Legal Lynchin" benefits from subtle drums and keys, and closer "I.L.V.Y.R.I.S (Who Dem?)" rivals Three 6 Mafia and David Banner for Kings Of Crunk honors. Ilepidemic is essentially a mixed bag of topics with relative strong lyrics and effective beats. [Bradley Miller].

Whats up with it. This is Prospect, president of Showtyme Entertainment. I got a good listen to several tracks and I'm interested in talking more with the group. Y'all are definitely something different from what we bring to the table. Right now, we have talked about not bringing any more acts onto the label. We have got about 6 acts on the label, and right now we are working the mixtape circuit and shows. We are really going to dive into doing the above grounds and everything in the new year, but we are just generating a buzz instead of just dropping on a dry market. But I'd like to talk with y'all to see where everyone is at and we can go from there. Y'all are just different from what we have on the roster right now. So holla at me when you get a chance and we'll go from there. Let me know a little more about y'all and just give me some more information about ilvyris. I appreciate your time nad interest and look forward to hearing from you...100!
