Album Notes

Imprasia is a band based on improvisation. Founded by Gully Weiss, Peter Rochelle, Tom Cast and John Krug in Chicago in 1986, Imprasia was chiefly seen and heard at underground acid parties happening around the University of Chicago in Hyde Park, Illinois. There was a large congregation of Dead Heads and Imprasia fit right in with the hippie culture of the South Side of Chicago. Alex Hirsch joined the band in 1988, replacing Tom Cast on the Keyboards and vocals. Within three months of that happening, the band moved to Northern California to ride the Grateful Dead Wave and amassed a formidable following playing over 100 shows in 2 years. This album was recorded in 1993 at the Chicago Recording Company and has sold more than 60,000 copies since its release.

Alex Hirsch – Guitars, Keyboards, Vocals
