Album Notes

"Inside here is good old time music:good grooving fiddle, wicked percolating banjo, fine high singing, big, rich and hot harmonicating, pumping bass and pistol snapping guitar. You're gonna find the blues in here too. This is old time music that's drenched in the blues. This is music that makes you feel something." - Mark Graham

"If you like your old time with a twist, you'll find a lot to like here. The band takes old time for a new spin. There are fourteen cuts of raw powered high energy music that rides the edge, but never crosses the line. They bring the soul of the mountains and marry it to the blues of the delta. What a ride!" - Fiddler Magazine

The Improbabillies are:

Superb. Infectious. Fine musicianship, fresh renditions of some great tunes. Recording quality is excellent. It just grooves...hard.

A truly perfect album!

A bumper sticker currently in vogue among old-time musicians states, "Old-time music -- it's better than it sounds!" The music of the Improbabillies, however, sounds as good as it is! With their tight tight groove and bluesy sensibilities, this is the perfect album to turn newbies on to old-time music. I'm in awe of all of these folks. Bottom line: If you don't have this album, get it right now!!
