Its A Cappella, but it ain't Doo Wop. Our voices play the parts of the instruments in addition to singing lyrics. We sing songs ranging from the 1920's through the end of the 20th century, all with a style and verve that you'll listen to again & again.

Album Notes

In Acchord is a mixed vocal ensemble of 6 singers, and has been performing across Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio since 1996, in the past numbering as many as 14 singers. Even through its membership changes (due to marriages, graduations, relocations to other states and countries, etc.), In Acchord has maintained its diversity, both in membership (check out the bios page!) and musical variety. As for its musical taste, In Acchord has none... rather, no defining style. At any performance, one might hear a cappella interpretations of the Beatles, Mary Chapin Carpenter, the Steve Miller Band, Seal, Terrence Trent D'Arby and even a bit of Weird Al.

In Acchord's first CD was released in the Spring of 1999. Six months in the making, recorded at Audiomation and engineered by Dave Bjornson, this CD features ensemble singing and stereo mic'ing for a "live" sound.
