Album Notes

Clear Water Reflections
Native American & World Flute Music

Aurally savor the chromatic tapestry woven by flutes from around the world, as they refresh and enrapture the spirit with their resonance and transcendent sonancy. Engage your being in the ethereal, prismatic rainbow of soundscapes that are sure to touch the inner recesses of your heart and mind. Journey to where your soul sails free, gliding upon the sonorous waters of musical enchantment and radiance.

Clear Water Reflections includes music of ancient and contemporary Native American flutes, Irish flute, Norwegian overtone flute (seljefløyte), Chinese dizi and xiao, bansuri, shakuhachi, ancient Mayan clay flutes, wind flute, Tarahumara drum, and the unique Dead Whistle. The beauty of these wondrous flutes is revealed in both solo and ensemble settings, with accompaniment from pipe organ, voice, cello, guitar, bass, Hang drum, bodhrán, various world percussion, udu, marxophone, dumbek, conga, and Native American frame drum. Clear Water Reflections is comprised of premier musical artists active and popular in today’s industry. The artists on this CD appeared at the July 2008 convention of The International Native American Flute Association (www.inafa.org) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
