Album Notes

Inglas is the songs of Michael Nold dismantled and rebuilt by guitarist/arranger Rick Escobar and bassist/arranger Mark Fassett. The project began several years back as a creative experiment, and no genre or ideas were off limits. Everything was explored, as long as it served the song. The process was long and arduous, sometimes an entire recording session was spent on a single four bar phrase... getting the sound, phrasing, and feel just right.

The end result is a blend of rock, electronica, pop, and even a touch of hip hop and dance music. Most importantly, though, the songs are just plain good songs, and the music is always in service to supporting the lyrics and melody.
