Inner City South (ICS)-a dynamic spoken word and performance art duo who share more than just the love of poetry. Comprised of the husband and wife team Ms. Dee-Lite, a stiletto wearing Diva and feminist whose straight forward style demands the respect of the stage and T-Remedi, an artist and visionary who is a masterful story teller with captivating word play that focuses on change, they both strive to display community, love and unity in their marriage and to the masses.

Southern Swagger, Inner City South’s debut album is a clever hybrid of spoken word and hip-hop with soulful hooks that leave their audience enlightened yet entertained. Representing Southern Folks at their finest ICS poetry depicts real and relatable subject matter with style and flavor all their own. True visionaries, these artists have a passion for people, which is reflected in their writing.

ICS has performed throughout the city of Memphis at events such as Africa in April, The Civil Rights Museum, The Cannon Center and the Stax Musuem to name a few.
