In Progress... started in 2002 as a side project by two cousins, singer/songwriter Saro Koujakian and percussionist Mher Ajamian. Getting weary of playing Los Angeles Rock scene, these two former members of the band "Afterthought" decided to return to their songwriting roots. Two years later the project has grown into a seven piece band with female vocalist Gars Sherbetdjian, lead guitarist and pianist Ara Dabandjian, bassist Jeremy Millado, violinist Shant Mahserejian and second pecussionist Vartan Duvenjian. In progress... plays an eclectic brand of acoustic folk rock that aims to fuse melodic harmonies with experimental percussion, blending multi-genre influences such as jazz, rock and world music. They aim to keep their music intuitive, yet always unpredictable. Over the past two years they have performed several times at local venue "Songs and Flight", AFFMA's Film Festival Award Night as well as Artists for Kids' HyeRock 2004 festival. They have just released their first self produced full length cd.
