From early beginnings leading worship in YWAM, (where they met) Daniel and Jess have always had a heart to see others encounter the reality of God through music and worship.
Both Jess and Daniel from a young age were exposed to music. Jess, growing up in Tamworth in a family of professional musos, and Daniel growing up in Indonesia with missionary parents, learning guitar and connecting with God through his playing.

Recently touring Australia and ministering under the name 'Jess Hammond',in a more acoustic style, many have commented that their music was uplifting and encouraging and helped them to connect with God.

Of late Daniel and Jess have felt the need to shift identity slightly, to get back to their worship music roots. To quote :
'Through our music, it is our prayer that people are drawn into a place of deep connection and encounter with God and to be changed from the inside out. Our greatest desire is that whoever comes to an event, or invites us to their church, will come away knowing that they have met with God, and possibly even forget who it was that led them there..'

With influences ranging from U2 and Delirious to more acoustic folk Joni Mitchell and Brooke Fraser, the features of Insideout's music are Jess's 'angelic' vocal tones and Daniels lyrical and Edge like guitar playing and the use of multimedia in their worship.

Daniel and Jess's music seeks to connect into 'a deeper reality' of passionate and honest realness before God.
