We both felt trapped. That's how this all started. We headed down to our favorite Audiophile haven hoping to stir things up a bit and rented some mics, and a pre amp.
5 days later we had 13 songs recorded.... and a band name.
Exhausted from our maniacal creative outburst, we hit the road and drove from Los Angeles to Portland bewildered about what we had accomplished but, spreading the word about our record to anyone who would listen... and across the west coast everyone who heard it wanted a copy.
By the time we came back down through California and landed in Fresno, we still didn't have a title for the record. It was 107 degrees outside and when we fell out of our overstuffed car Fountain's dad looked up and said "It looks like the '60's all over again."
We told him we'd recorded 13 songs, but we needed a name for the album. We both rolled our eyes when he promised he'd deliver.
After some quality pool time and a little pizza with the family, we put the tunes on. Dad looked up about three songs in and said "Everybody Wins."
He said, "I told you I'd think of a name for the record and it should be 'Everybody Wins'."
We couldn't believe our ears. It was perfect.
So we made it back to Los Angeles in one piece after 8 crazy days on the road and we are ready to present to you The International Tennis Champions...
and to let you know that everybody wins.
