Combining elements of alternative and classic rock with a pop sensibility, Introspect creates a song writing style all their own. With meaningful lyrics and memorable hooks, this is a band on the rise and surely one you don't want to miss.

notes

Introspect is a high-energy 5 piece rock band based in Columbus, OH. They combine elements of hard and alternative rock with a pop sensibility to create a unique sound and song writing style all their own. They met as students on the Ohio State University campus and have been together since the spring of 2003. During that time they have progressed exponentially through hard work and dedication.

Fronted by Aaron Chalcraft, Introspect exudes a stage presence that draws the audience into the perfomance. Chalcraft can often be seen off stage, microphone in hand, singing with the member of the crowd. Guitarists Mike Bogart and John Blechinger play like seasoned veterans with a contagious enthusiasm that radiates throughout the room. The Rhythm section is anchored by the multi-talented and energetic Jason Valley (bass, vocals, keys) and the rock solid drumming of J.T. Payer.

Introspect has an army of devoted fans in Greater Ohio region who are in regular attendance at their shows. They have built this following in an astonishingly short amount of time with little radio play because of their excellent, interactive live performances. Introspect has drawn large crowds in numerous venues including Germain Amphitheater & The Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Headliner's in Toledo, and the HiFi Club in Cleveland to name a few. They have also had the pleasure of opening for national recording artists Evanescence, Maroon 5, Tantric, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, and Gavin DeGraw. There is no doubt Introspect is a band on the rise.

Thought the cd had a great mixture between the 5 songs. I especially enjoyed "The Journey" and "One More Try". The cd ran the gamut from upbeat to a more mellow side. Really enjoying it and will recommend it to many. Have had the luxury of seeing this band live.

This Introspect CD is not bad, good tunes, good lyrics, but it sounds a bit like a Creed ripoff. Worth listening to if your a fan of Creed.

  • Outstanding & Diverse....!!!
    author: Charlie Tango

Introspect's new 5 song EP, "For All To See", truly shows the band's ability to Show Case their diverse talents to target a variety of musical genre. Each of the original songs on the EP are totally different in style and substance. Introspect seems to have the ability to offer something for everyone whether it's Classic Rock; Alternative; Hard Rock; Retro; etc. For me to pick a favorite would be impossible. I'm impressed with each song on its own, and feel confident there will be bigger and better to come from Introspect in the future. I have had the pleasure of viewing Introspect live on several occations at various venues. Their Stage Presents and Showmanship are outstanding. Intropsect not only entertains their audience, they also insist on their participation.

  • You got to check out these guys
    author: Tony

These guys have everything that rock & roll stands for and is missing today. They are diverse and talented. These songs are easy to listen to but at the same time they don’t seem to get old. I can’t decide if my favorite song is catacombs or the journey. The whole CD is really great though.

  • Introspect provides something for everyone!!
    author: mark lewis

When I listen to most EPs from newer artists, they stick to one format and show little diversity within their music. Not so with this band. They provide a little something for everyone with their 5 song EP. Before I checked out this page, I had never heard of Introspect. Now I'm a fan. The disc catches your ear right away with a song called "The Journey". The melody and guitar work make you want to hear this song again and again. "Someday", the next track, also has a memorable melody and sounds like a mixture of pop and alternative rock with hopeful lyrics that show a positive outlook, unlike many of Introspect's contemporaries. "Catacombs" has a great rock n roll crunch and is remininscent of early Stone Temple Pilots. It's good song to rock out to and would be excellent during the live show. The fourth track, "By Your Side", got stuck in my head after the first listen and is sure to do the same to you. "One More Try" is fitting for the final track. It's a song that builds thoughtout and leave you with a classic rock, major key ending. All in all, I would recommend this album to rock n roll fans of all types. I look forward to hearing more from this band.
