The Invasion plays a unique brand of indie rock drawing from classical, jazz, and folk influences.
The Invasion has just completed their debut full-length album "How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Madness", co-produced by Grammy Award winner Art Hodge (2001 Best Album: Santana's "Supernatural").
While Hodge is best known for his work in hip hop (e.g. The Dust Brothers) and film soundtracks (e.g. Fight Club), his experience was invaluable in the production of "The Madness".
Since their inception, The Invasion has received recognition from critics and audiences alike. The Invasion was named "Best Underground Band" by the Boise Weekly (08/03), and received rave reviews from Michael Deeds of the Idaho Statesman (04/05). The Invasion also performed with indie rock legends "The Pixies" in Boise on their 2005 reunion tour.
The Invasion's single "Constancy" has remained in the top 5 on GarageBand.com's all-time charts for the last 4 years and has been featured in numerous film soundtracks (including Steven Baldwin's "Livin' It L.A.").
Formed in late 2003 by singer/songwriter Aaron Brown, The Invasion includes Nampa artist Shawn McKinley on drums, Nate Hanson on guitar, and Nathan Walker on bass.
