ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
MUSIC + DIGITAL VIDEO = INVISIBLE
INVISIBLE COMPOSE SEMI-INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC ALONG WITH ACCOMPANYING / SYNCHED DIGITAL VIDEO PIECES CREATING AND IMMERSIVE / DYNAMIC AUDIO VISUAL EXPERIENCE BOTH LIVE (VIA VIDEO PROJECTORS) AND ON RECORDING (AVAILABLE ON CD AND SOON ON FULL-LENGTH DVD)

INVISIBLE IS CURRENTLY FINISHING UP THE RECORDING OF THEIR FIRST FULL-LENGTH WHICH THEY WILL BE TOURING EXTENSIVELY TO PROMOTE AT THE END OF THE YEAR.

COMBINING MELODIC ROCK INSTRUMENTATION WITH ELECTRONICS / PROGRAMMING AND TEXTURED ORGANIC SOUND MANIPULATION, THE MUSIC EVADES CLASSIFICATION WHILE REMAINING ACCESSIBLE AND CHALLENGING.

THROUGH LOOSE NARRATIVE AND ABSTRACTION, THE DIGITAL VIDEO COMPONENT THEMATICALLY AUGMENTS THE AUDIO PULLING STYLISTICALLY FROM THE EXPERIMENTAL FILM TRADITIONS OF THE 40'S THROUGH CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS / FILMMAKERS.

INVISIBLE BEGAN AS A LONG DISTANCE RECORDING PROJECT BETWEEN CHRIS LARSON AND ZACH OKUN. ZACH (FAIRLINE PARKWAY - LAZYLINE.COM) HAD BEEN LIVING IN ARIZONA PERFECTING THE FINER POINTS OF AUDIO RECORDING WHILE CHRIS WAS WAS COMBINING PROJECTED VISUALS WITH IMPROVISATIONAL MUSIC AS PART OF THE LAND CAMERA MICRO ORCHESTRA (THELANDCAMERA.COM). AFTER A MONTH OF EXCHANGING SONGS AND IDEAS, FLIGHTS WERE BOOKED, GEAR WAS BORROWED AND WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS 'THE INVISIBLE EP' WAS COMPLETED. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, ZACH FOUND HIMSELF BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A U-HAUL ON ROUTE TO PORTLAND AND CHRIS FOUND DRUMMER DELANEY KELLY (AVENUE OF THE STRONGEST).

Something to relax to...
Great CD. At times they remind me of Pink Floyd (a new age Pink Floyd, of course). This is a great album to sit down and listen to with your eyes shut. Get it before its gone.

invisible helps this guy see some fun
I say this is a perfect reflection of the ups and abouts of a drizzly, modern existence. Pretty strings and classy tones, good for passing the day editing papers. Plus live they have neat hi tech visuals and everyones in a good mood to sway out to them.

INVISIBLE compose semi-instrumental music along with accompanying synched digital video pieces creating an immersive/dynamic audiovisual experience both live (via video projectors) and on recording (available on CD and soon on DVD. Combining melodic rock instrumentation with electronics/programming and textured organic sound manipulation, the music evades classification while remaining accessible and challenging.

INVISIBLE NOW VISIBLE
i thought portland had nothing but indiecrouch rockers who shun any other form of music but oh was I wrong. Invisible's EP has great blending of pretty melodies mixed with impressive percussion... especially on "Verdict Swings". this isnt your normal la di da music, there are interludes which take you into an interesting blizzard of soulful bass lines, creative yet not overbaring drums, and subtle vocal harmonies meshed with velvety violins. I hope there is much more to evolve from yet another sprouting seed in the movement of good music! a definate buy.
