Formed in 1984 in the North Parisian suburbs, IN VITRO starts rocking on stage in 1985. Back then, the first North suburban Punk/Rock wave: La Souris Déglinguée, Wunderbach, Rocco et ses Frères, les Porte-Mentaux, even Cyclope and Blessed Virgins set the tone for alternative Rock.
IN VITRO in 1985-86 is playing with the accompaniment of a rhythm box. In 1987, François -bass player and Band founder- leave the group to manage the Witches Valley.
IN VITRO releases his first 6 title-vinyl "Les Chaussures Pogo Vous Donnent de l'Elan" (« Pogo Shoes Give You Zeal ») acclaimed by the Press and Radio stations. They start touring in France and Europe.
In 1990, IN VITRO befriends the marginal anarcho-syndicalist Parisian crowd, and criss crosses the squats, the Parisian bars and clubs (concerts with Ludwig, Dileurs, Frelons, Warum Joe, Cadavres, P4, Judge AKA 47.) The police often join the party with the unrelenting aim to kill the noise. Bar owners get fined and electro groups loose their welcome. The countryside and Europe remain the only place for the freedom to Rock.
IN VITRO sound caught the ears of Philippe Mogane who, recognizing the energy, will and political engagement of the band as attuned with the SIAMESE DOGS pursuit of the atypical policy took on the production of the Cd: « Iz Paris Ready To Rock? .»
Already, one of the songs: "Riot In The Sand" is spinned in N Y C clubs à la mode.
IN VITRO is Yo singing and rhythm guitar, Paul Somebody, all guitars out, Groover, the Bass Player and Tommy on drums.
And don't forget that "Pogo Shoes Give You Zeal!!!".

2008 voit enfin le retour en force d'IN VITRO avec " Iz Paris Ready To Rock?" :15 titres sans concessions qui défendent les couleurs d'un groupe qui après avoir été à l'origine de l'alternative Rock en France et au moment où les groupes de kids sont légions dans le paysage du Rock dans l'hexagone, vient justement réclamer son dû. Sans concessions, ni compromis, ni léchage de bottines Pop cirées à la crème parisiano-music scene.
