Album Notes

Ion Avenue is an Atlanta band whose music is emotional and energetic while lyrically playful and meditative. Angie Goodale muses on the shifting nature and ultimate dissolution of relationships in songs such as "Liquid Photograph": "With every little color that's bleeding fast/liquid photograph tell the truth/what colors have faded?"

It's been said that Ion Avenue's sound is a cross between early Counting Crows and The Pixies.

I am a fan! Angie is a poet. She has written some of my favorite words of all time - "If I loved you like a pretty flower, would you need more sun." Her songs have many layers of meaning and deserve time and repetitive listening. Doug is a brilliant guitarist - together they produce a unique sound that defies definition. Their shows are entertaining and delightful; their fans return again and again to sing along with the songs we've grown to love.
