For the past 15 years, Johnny Ireland he has been entertaining audiences with a refreshingly unique style of music.

His powerful acoustic performances quite naturally generate an inviting atmosphere of infectious energy.

From compelling ballads to more lusty grooves, Johnny delivers each and every note with artful poise and precision.

His creative influences include The Pretenders, Billy Bragg, Elvis Costello, Ani DiFranco, and Pavement.

Before pursuing a solo career, Johnny shared the stage with such groups as 3% Fat, Toast & Jam and Backyard Ritual; playing at a variety of venues all along the east coast in Washington DC, Virginia, New York and North Carolina.

More recently, he has made guest appearances with Todd Watts of Emmet Swimming.

Johnny is currently promoting the release of his second CD with a series of live performances at select clubs in the Washington DC area.

Then it's back to Venusiian Media Studios (venusiian.com), his privately owned record label and recording studio, to begin work on the next creative endeavor.

Johnny founded Venusiian Media Studios in 1999 to realize the vision he had of developing and delivering music through multimedia technology.

It continues to serve as a vehicle to record and produce his music, as well as that of other local talent.

Johnny Ireland is a proud member of ASCAP and the AlienBrainTrust consortium (alienbraintrust.com).

Johnny collaborated with fellow musicians who have played together off and on throughout the years to form this alliance.

The members of the Consortium are driven by the common goal of creating and performing music that appeals to the intellect and challenges the mainstream.

Their strong base of followers come from all walks of life but are drawn together by an appreciation of the music and the message.
