The name captures the sound of Ironwood Rain - elemental passion amidst a running current of voices, the warmth and fire of wood meeting the strength and ringing vibrancy of metals. With varied backgrounds in progressive rock, acoustic songwriting, and rock/jazz covers, the members of Ironwood Rain feel blessed and honored by the musical friendship with which we've been gifted and look forward to the opportunity to share our unique blend of harmony, strings and lyrics through our debut CD, Trio.
With diverse influences running the gamut from Queen, Los Lonely Boys, Jethro Tull, Days of the New, Clapton, Death Cab, The Moody Blues, Pearl Jam, Vertical Horizon, Emerson Lake and Palmer and more, we have striven in the making of Trio to offer music with an identity, a little intelligence, a sense of humor and the passionate connections to the deepest moments in this life that we all share as human beings. We are honored that you have chosen to share the music with us!
