Album Notes

Isamu Nakashio
Isamu Nakashio has performed throughout the U.S., Japan Canada, and Europe, including his New York recital debut at Carnegie Hall in February of 1998. He is a former student of some of the world's greatest guitarists such as David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, David Leisner, Fredric Hand, Sharon Isbin and Benjamin Verdery and is currently a respected solo and chamber music performer on his own. Isamu has a bachelor's degree from the New England Conservatory in Boston, and studied at the Mannes college of Music in New York and Yale University from which be holds two master’s degrees of music in performance. He also has four diplomas from Mozarteum summer academy in Salzburg, Austria.

Mr. Nakashio has been the winner of numerous awards and scholarships including the prestigious Irving Giolmore Scholarship from Yale University, the Artist's International Special Presentation Award, and the DÁddario Foundation for Performing Arts Scholarship.

Isamu currently lives in Orange County, California and is a faculty member at both Cerritos and Santa Ana community college.
