IshQ Bector

Let's talk about IshQ. In Hindi, the word IshQ means "super passionate love," which was used in over 100 Bollywood hit songs in 2006 alone! Now, the Hip-Hop artist IshQ is gathering his global Indian community for a musical revolution. In comes the new sound & wave pioneered by the Indo-Canadian rapper/producer IshQ Bector.

This delicious Tandoori cuisine lover is a visionary poet and an electrifying stage demon who has shared the stage with artists like Sean Paul, Mobb Deep, John Cena (WWE), Rishi Rich & Jay Sean, raising the temperature a couple of notches with his killer dance moves.


Born & raised in Winnipeg, Canada, IshQ has been shuttling back and forth to Mumbai for about four years. He has written, produced and sang on big Bollywood films like Dhoom 2, Fight Club & Pyar ke Side Effects. He released two solo albums & many hot singles with major Indian labels like Universal, Sony-BMG & Crescendo during his time in India. IshQ studied acting at the famous Roshan Taneja film studio in Mumbai then went on to VJ & host shows on MTV, B4U & Channel V India.

IshQ's authentic Hip-Hop/R&B stage show traveled all over India, Mauritius, South Africa, Dominican Republic, Singapore and North America. Right now, this young entrepreneur is bringing his production sound to Bollywood cinema. IshQ has collaborated with elite Bollywood music directors Salim-Sulemaan, Pritam, Vishal-Shekar and shared the mic with the likes of Udit Narayan & Alisha Chinoy. The hardcore performer he is, IshQ lit up the silver screen to feature in the huge banner movie 'Barsaat,' with Bollywood superstars: Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra & Bobby Deol.

His newest release DAKKU DADDY is jam packed with club banging hits and addicting sounds. The buzz has been building since late 2007 and 2008 will be the year his sound meshes throughout the world! With AYE HIP HOPPER! Riding the charts….get ready for IshQ!!!
