The Stars Line Up
author: Stephen Mead
"Dragon Dreams" is a work of true imaginative transformation from one of our most musically brave and humane artists. Issa's voice is stronger than ever, while her melodies invite the listener in to dream, heal and dance. Issa is one of those musicians who has consistently gone out on a limb of exploration and independence to create works so far from being formulaic as to create a new genre. Like many an innovator she may not be given the appreciation she is due in our time, but her artistry has a resilience and generosity of spirit which is sure to triumph. This cd is a gift to the earth.

I believe this new album has come full circle for Jane - wooops Issa. After listening to this offering, repeatedly, I have decided to *open* the minds of my children - in a musical sense - this summer. I have hung an ancient poster of Jane at the cottage and gathered the well-loved "Mimi on the Beach" towels and I will begin the indoctrination of my kids. The music is quite approachable; sharing it with my children at the cottage this summer, will be a wonderful experience.

Celestial Travelogue
author: Thom 'Daddyo' Fogarty
The Love Train has a new conductor. Issa has arrived, right on time. Upon first listening to DRAGON DREAMS, I have to admit I was a tad perplexed. I had waited so long for new music from Ms. Jane, that this album seemed to be over too fast. Too little meat on the bones. A trifle. But, O no, High-Priestess Issa has upped the ante. Ms. Siberry has long been one of the most literate and tactile of songstresses, and the place that she has arrived at on her own journey, Issa,is a stunning place. We should all be so fortunate to pass through this terrain at some point in our time on this compendium of earthly life. Its as though your best friend tells you all about this amazing trip they just took. I want to call the travel agent TODAY! It is a trek at once intimate (paddling through the underbrush at daybreak) and celestial {I can swear I heard Issa jumping from cloud to cloud). Song after song took me to another oasis on this journey. It is at once personal and universal, which I venture is what the greatest art endeavors to be. Yes, to paraphrase, you never know who you're listening to. Who hasn't felt all the irony of "I Pick Up the Phone", and the life lesson of "You Never Know". If I could I would answer her prayer in "Send Me Someone To Love, as she pleads with us to aid in her search for finding that elusive thing - love, a real love, a true love. Line for line, this is the sister song to Siberry's classic "Calling All Angels". This song may contain the line of the year, "Someone who won't mind a menage-a-trois, YOU and ME and GOD." That is a love worth waiting for. So, come on, people all over the world, and join hands for this 21ST Century Love Train that is chugging across the universe. I will gladly sit and wait to see where she decides to take us next. Merci me amour
