After forming a great friendship Chadzilla and Ed “Spageddy” Contreras began the musical partnership “Istari”. Having both grown up in Denver, Colorado and played drums and percussion with most every solo artist and band in town, the two were primed to embark on this musical journey. With the help of Swallow Hill Music Association and 5 Star Entertainment, Istari began performing for youngsters at many local elementary schools and libraries. After honing and refining a program focused on sharing rhythms and instruments from around the world they began performing at notable festivals such as the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and the Taste of Colorado. Much of the live show is informational, interactive and fun. So in 2007, Chadzilla decided to write songs based on the depth, worldliness and humor of the show to share with audiences throughout the world. The Istari CD is a result of that effort.
