Swiss-Italian Ivo Antognini is a rather singular composer and Jazz pianist.
In his music influences of a solid classical education are noticeable (especially Bach, Ravel, and Debussy), yet the imprint of Keith Jarrett and a passion for Mediterranean music combined allow for a unique blend of unmistakable fine Jazz.
Ivo Antognini blatantly despises pre-packaged patterns. His refined pianism, lyrical and elegant, always succeeds in being fresh and unpredictable.
A composer of prolific output, Ivo Antognini has written the soundtracks to around forty films and documentaries and his discography comprises three Jazz albums with his own compositions and around twenty CDs with music composed especially for television.
