Webster’s definition of ‘ivory tower’ is: a figurative place of mental withdrawal from reality. The phrase is used as a symbol of escapism. Independent recording artists: Ivory Tower Project is a new breed of ‘old school’ rockers. Their music is inspired by the great Classic Pop/Rock artists of the 70’s and 80’s.
Ivory Tower Project (ITP) was founded by NY veteran songwriters: Johnny Jace and Mark Regula. Their objective was to write memorable songs from the heart and soul. NYC veteran guitarist: Tony Novarro was soon recruited, and Novarro and Regula formed the core of the band: Ivory Tower. As Ivory Tower lost their band members, they were replaced by the NY Metro area’s finest studio musicians that transcended Ivory Tower from being a band into a studio Project.
ITP signed with Guerrilla Records who released a four-song EP entitled: "Red Hot". "This EP has received rave reviews and airplay on over 340 radio stations in 28 countries worldwide.
Now Guerrilla Records is happy to announce the re-release of “RED HOT” as an 8 track digital album. The digital album will include the 4 tracks that were on the original EP, but it will also include an additional 4 tracks that have been recorded and written by the original band members. This release has been professionally mastered and the CD has new cover art.

Ivory Tower Project

Mark Regula (vocals, keyboards, guitars), Tony Navarro (guitars) and Fernando Menendez (drums) are back with Ivory Tower Project and this is their debut full-length album. They released a 4-track EP in 2001and what they offer is 80s Pomp/AOR that takes you back when bands like Cannata, Asia, Arrows, Bystander and Russ Ballard was played in the stereo. Yes, the 4 first tracks on Red Hot is stunning Pomp/AOR songs that really shows how good this band is. The songs don’t hold the same quality throughout the whole album and that’s a shame because this could have been a classic album. There’s also a Radio interview were Mark tells about Ivory Tower Project. But lets talk about the fantastic tracks that starts this album. My Name is a pure Pomp-rocker with classic 80s keyboards and reminds of Stonebolt meets Cannata, brilliant song with great drum sound. Burning could have come from one of Russ Ballards two first classic AOR album. Yes, this is a awesome songs with a fantastic chorus with classy harmonies.
