In the 1970's, Jamaica's music industry was in its most creative and productive era led by such innovative producers as Bunny Lee, Coxsone Dodd, and Lee Perry, as well as revolutionary studio engineer and mix-master Osbourne Ruddock, also known as the great King Tubby. This album draws heavily on the style of these early reggae pioneers by staying true to the roots reggae tradition. Other Jabby influences include Augustus Pablo, Yabby You, the Aggrovators, and Soul Syndicate. The 70's dub sound was raised from the ashes by Jabby at his own recording studio dubbed the "Altar of Sound." This studio is equipped with various tube powered preamps, spring reverbs, tape echoes, and reel to reel units. This equipment was used by the original dub pioneers over 25 years ago, and help give this album an authentic roots sound that most modern reggae has failed to maintain. Rough roots and heavy dub at its best!
SOLOMON JABBY REVIEWS:
"Listening to Solomon Jabby's 'Rootical Revelations' disc, you might think you'd happened upon a long-lost King Tubby/ Augustus Pablo dub session. Few American reggae artists specialize in dub- Solomon Jabby not only helps fill a void, he does so brilliantly." (THE BEAT Magazine - February 2005)
"Solomon Jabby is an artist with a surprisingly fresh and authentic sound, completely in the style and technology of the Dub Masters like King Tubby and Prince Jammy. A welcome addition to those online DUB Artists that incorporate modern technology in their music. Good and strong riddims, and a lot of instruments. He plays everything himself, on real instruments, and you can hear that the Idren knows how to play the instruments. His style and technique reveals an in-depth knowledge of the art of creating music. And his lyrics and song titles show also spiritual consciousness."

"Listening to Solomon Jabby is like going back in time to when Jamaican Dub was in its prime with the likes of King Tubby and Yabby U. This is classic Dub for the new Millennium! Heavy bass, reggae guitar, analog organ sounds and effects dominate this album." -Jeff McCann (www.Christrock.com)
