For well over a decade, roots/dub artist Solomon Jabby has been studying and perfecting his craft of classic dub and roots reggae. With two full length dub albums already to his credit, Solomon has earned the respect of the worldwide reggae community by updating the sounds of such greats as King Tubby, Roots Radics, and Augustus Pablo. On Solomon Jabby’s third release, \"Firmly Planted,\" he proves that traditional 70\'s reggae production still has a place in the modern reggae soundscape.

\"Firmly Planted,\" showcases Solomon’s excellent songwriting abilities. This, his first vocal album, pays homage to the golden days of Jamaican harmony groups with clear influences from artists such as Culture, The Wailing Souls, The Congos, and The Gladiators. Deep lyrical content permeate the dense vocal harmonies, perfectly complementing Solomon’s organic production techniques. Exceptional musicianship and superb arrangements make this album a full, well-rounded work with a distinctively classic feel.
