ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
One night i was sleepin' in a dive in Amarillo Texas and I looked out the window. I saw 2 brothers( aka black guys) in Cadillac Eldorados going back and forth through the parking lot. Which by the way went on all night long. I noticed there were ladies of the night in the rooms at the Cadillac's destination, and that night became the inspiration for the song "TEXAS". Which I wrote watching the business outside. It was a very colorful evening to say the least. The song "Down At the New Orleans" sums up Seattle in 1992. Music was exploding and The New Orleans was the Hot club to play. This song is dedicated to Gaye and Jimmy who gave me my first gig along time ago. That pretty much somes up this new CD. Living life, and feeling "AlivE". Having Janiva Magness sing on 2 Percy Mayfield songs ( Baby Please and Strange Things) is also a treat. I hope you enjoy this CD.- Thank You- Jack Becker
