BellaMar.
Hi everybody. This is my first solo album containing songs about, and inspired by, the sea. I have always loved the ocean and have had the good fortune to swim in many of them. The call of the waves is deep in our human psyche, but often forgotten except at vacation time. I hope this music allows you to feel it all year long.
Thanks for listening!
Jack

BellaMar is molto bella!
author: C. D. Cox
Jack Hoban is on top of his game. I'm one of the lucky few who've had the opportunity to hear Hoban playing night gigs in San Diego mexican eateries during his Marine Corps days and later with Jersey Blue at Jason's in South Belmar. Never content with the status quo, each new project demonstrates Hoban's growth as a musician, lyricist, and singer. His music with Rogues on the Run was great but BellaMar is definitely the proof in the pudding (you'll note that the other members of Rogues back Hoban up on this his first solo CD release). Most of the songs are ballads about love lost and found with messages about our lives in the twenty-first century. The title song "BellaMar" is a wonderful love song and Hoban's voice carries just the right amount of angst as he lives the lyrics. Hoban also brings other delights to the table: tributes to Antonio Carlos Jobima and Chris Rea, the funny, whimsical "Four Days(Four Nights)" which should make Jimmy Buffet envious, and my favorite Christmas song of all time "Christmas With You." This album is will have you listening to it over and over.

Close Your Eyes and Enjoy a Whiff of the Sea
author: Steve Carafello, The River Dogs Band
You’ll detect everything——blues, jazz, reggae, rock, calypso & pop——influencing Hoban on this, his latest release. The tight, smooth arrangements and even smoother vocals will transport you to your favorite seaside hideaway, and with the bonus track, you’ll be back just in time for Christmas. Put on the headphones, kick off your shoes, and take a dip! This one is perfect.
