Never Let Me Go (Lake Shore Jazz) was the debut release for Blue Note Recording Artist Jackie Allen. Recorded in Chicago with the finest Chicago sidemen, Never Let Me Go quickly rose on the radio charts and led to Jackie's national prominence in the jazz-crossover genre. Her colloborators include the now legendary rhythm section of Willie Pickens (piano), Larry Gray (bass), and Robert Shy (drums). Horn appearances by Ed Peteren (tenor sax) and Art Davis (trumpet) add tasteful backgrounds and inspired solos. Other musicians on the session include Brad Williams (piano), Joel Spenser (drums), and Alejo Poveda (percussion).
