Album Notes

With her second album - Money to Burn – Carpinteria songwriter Jackie Morris builds on her reputation for songs that are touching and funny, upbeat and offbeat, sometimes personal, sometimes political, but almost always witty and true-to-life. Drawing on a folk tradition, the CD was co-produced with Robinson Eikenberry in Santa Barbara and features a wealth of local talent, including musical luminaries Kenny Edwards, David West, and David Piltch.

"A joy to listen to...warm and humorous...poignant and thought provoking...lively and lots of fun...This CD sparkles!" Lorraine Cumiskey, The Bard Chord, June 2008

"Jackie Morris is a fabulous songwriter...(She) plays folk music that's informed by a wealth of different styles, with lyrics that are in turn touching, funny, poignant and authentic...Money to Burn is exquisite." -- Wildy Haskell, Wildy's World
