Album Notes

Jackson Cage are a Belfast-based 6 piece folk/rock group. Influenced by 60\'s and 70\'s groups such as The Band, as well as more contemporary alt. country bands, they have been building up a substantial reputation on the live Northern Irish music scene. Since their inception in early 2007 they have been performing locally at many of Belfast\'s most distinguished music venues, including sell-out shows at the Rotterdam Bar\'s New Year\'s Eve Festival (2007/8) and the Crescent Arts Centre\'s renowned New Moon Showcase (mid 2007). Other noteworthy performances include Belfast\'s Nashville Songwriters Festival (February 2008) where the group shared a line-up with a host of internationally renowned artists including Nancy Griffith and highly distinguished songwriters Pat Alger and Don Schlitz (author of The Gambler). Since late 2007 the group have been hard at work on their forthcoming eponymous album \"Jackson Cage\", which is available now from CD Baby.
