Album Notes

Americas standing in the pop-music industry was slipping as the British sent group after group across the Atlantic in it's effort to dethrone the US from it's well deserved place as homeland to the Kings and Queens of rock n roll.
As essential as it was during the first American Revolution, the south's contribution to the second revolution, the Rock n Roll Revolution, would prove too powerful to ignore any longer.
The heritage that southern rockers such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels and .38 Special brought to Americas rock scene changed the live music landscape forever. Southern Rock was filling stadiums across the country. Their hard driving sound appealed to the hard riding fans that knew what a good time was all about. Americans were once again free to challenge the spirit of adventure and rejoice to the sound of a purely American sound. This signal, like the sound of the powerful Harley Davidson, showed that American Rock was back on top!

In northern California, amongst the giant redwoods a new addition of this All-American spirit has emerged. The Jackson Stone Band with David Verno at the controls has for ten years been redefining and refining the southern rock sounds that took America by storm more than two decades ago.
Today, despite the lure of mediocrity that modern technology makes all to simple, four men, together with their instruments of rock, have given the original sounds of southern rock a rebirth as it were, while adding to the mix a new era of home grown southern style rock and roll that shakes the band stand and thunders across arenas giving the once sullen audiences a powerful wake up call that declares to the world "We Have Arrived"!

David Verno Jr. lead vocal, lead / rhythm guitar.
Busting’ heads and breaking’ hearts all across America, David Verno Jr. has been at the forefront of Southern Rock guitar for nearly two decades. His innovative and stylish songwriting have thrilled audiences throughout the USA. His powerful guitar style will leave you breathless. Today this mountain of a man stands just off center stage while he effortlessly smokes the frets from his Les Paul. His gravely voice exudes both the raw power of a hard rock anthem as well as the sorrow of a man lost in heartache. Playing America's favorites while adding his own originals give a crowd hours of stand up excitement driving the temperature of any sized venue to a steamy tropic like atmosphere that warms the soul of fans and promoters alike.

NEW BAND LINE UP FOR 2007

DAVID VERNO JR: LEAD VOCALS/ LEAD GUITAR
JEFFERSON DAVIS: DRUMS
MIKAEL VEN DE VEN: BASS GUITAR
BRIAN WEST: KEYBOARDS

I love Southern Rock. I love Skynyrd, Doc Holliday, Molly and all the guys. And I definetly love Jackson Stone Band. If you're in for guitars like freight trains and a hoarse voice you have to give them a try. They kick ass !
