Jack Tempchin
Streets of LA, The Road I'm On: Songs You cannot live without after you have heard them.

His deep, unconciously masculine voice, his musical timing and understatement... his intuitive poetic focus make Jack Tempchin one of America's best song writers and a Giant of the "California Sound".

Listening to Jack's songs and inflexion makes me reflect on me and my old friends-- army brats who grew up in a post-Vietnam War America.

Never a part of any narrow community-- we became idealists, albeit ones cognizant of sharp realities in an unjust and ambiguous world.

Jack sings of clean hope and beauty in the midst of jarring realities... and that's where I connect with him.
