Twilight is the time between dawn and sunrise, and the time between sunset and dusk. The surface of the Earth is not completely lit nor completely dark.
Jack Says of his muse "... those first few moments that you look up in the sky and see the first stars of night, or the last starts of morning. It gets sad at times, because then I look up, I see things I'll never see again. It makes me feel significant in a way though, since I am the only one who is seeing it in that way, at that moment.
