a triumph
author: Nick Gambacorta
Upon first listen of this lovely lady known as Jaclyn, I found myself closing my eyes and taken on a journey. I find myself lifted away across the Atlantic seas to a secluded village where the thirst and hunger for passionate music runs high. Lush green pastures and high snow capped mountains surround the area. In the center of this village, I find a voice rising above the bonfire with gazing eyes all around. This is where Jaclyn thrives, she reaches ears looking for truth. Her voice can draw you in by it's whispy, sexual lures while at the same time grips you with operatic fortification. Her lyrical content is filled with poetic imagery and her guitar playing is as gently strummed as a ukulele. Yes, Jaclyn most certainly was not supposed to be born in New York City. As eclectic and daring as a city maybe, she may find herself troubled to find true appreciation. Her music shows she is beyond the usual ears that listen. Maybe somewhere in Ireland? Maybe somewhere in the bavarian countryside of Germany? Who knows? I may be stretching my thoughts a little, but I blame Jaclyn's music for that. This is definitley a triumph, and it can only get better from here.

Great album!
author: Louis Comas
When hearing this album it not only made me think and relax but what admired most is the creativity of lyrics that was done by the artist Jaclyn Shaw. Hope you all listen and love the album like I did.

Jaclyn's music breathes in a pure Gaelic trance! There's no denying the mood-sustaining qualities of this record, ranging from mysterious chanting to angelic folk soprano. Powerful, gutsy, and compelling!
