To spread God's message of hope and salvation to others through music was John Hammond's vision. Having been blessed with the ability to compose music and write powerful lyrics that touch the heart, John dedicated his life to Christ and vowed not to waste his God given talents, but to use his gift and see his dream into reality. Thus Jacob Blue was formed.
John recruited one of his childhood friends, Danny Pearson and then added drummer John "The DJ" Nicklason and lead guitarist David Wright to complete the formula for Jacob Blue. These four men, each bringing their own unique style and creativity to the mix, are what makes Jacob Blue stand out from all the others.
With a sound reminiscent of the 60's, 70's, and 80's combined, Jacob Blue has stumbled into a music genre all their own. It is refreshing to find a band such as this in today's world. Their songs are a delight for all ages, touching the hearts of those 10 to 100! The lyrics hold meaning and are easy to relate to, the melody is not too "over done" or "under done", it is perfect.
