Album Notes

Fresh from their 2nd season with the VANS WARPED TOUR, JaGoFF is geared-up for the release of their debut CD, "There's One Born Every Minute". This winter/spring JaGoFF is coming to infect a city near you. Dates TBA soon.

Chicago's JaGoFF is the musical intersection of wherever waste dumps & abandoned factories meet the $5 lap dance and HAM radio. It is lo-fi. subversive, sweet soul polluted by lost weekends of sweaty booty, downtempo breakbeats and massive Detroit bass. Perversely honest, strangely beautiful and badass funky.

"JaGoFF, "There's one born every minute", titles their new cd as they busted into the scene with erotically hip, ghetto spankin, techno slammin, funkbreakin soundz. "JaGoFF is the musical intersection of wherever waste dumps & abandoned factories meet the $5 lap dance and HAM radio." They've brought their shows to recent T.H.O.N.G. parties, SubT, and also jumped into the Warped Tour. Charles Feelgood even threw them on his "Top 5 Picks" in Urb Magazine's "The Next 100" Issue earlier in the year. Try these new beats on and you won't want to take them off. "We are just starting to get this bitch out the door."

Impossibly deep funk...
author: Editor Review / C-Net
Impossibly deep funk bass lines, crazy-eyed crew sing-alongs and a gritty bent put the Chi-town squad in post-Parliament territory. But this isn't just the orthodox funk of George Clinton's famed outfit. Between its rich harmonies and lyrical edge, it is everything from gospel to rap.

Much love to the new kings of funk!
author: Kate
For starters, let me say that I haven't been this excited about a band in a long long time. JaGoFF is well on their way as one of the most influential bands in music today. Their balls out irreverent DIY ethic is not only respectable but nothing short of righteous in this sorry age of cookie-cutter one hit wonders. The fact that they have achieved such an amazing level of popularity and underground credibility without selling out to the corporate key holders is amazing to me. Music today is too much industry and not enough artistry... JaGoFF just raised the bar. Much love to the new kings of funk!

Essential, outgoing, electric, and totally genuine.
author: Locale Sunday
JaGoFF sets an impressive stage for any artists who calls themselves "independent." Their finger to the man while simultaneously commanding the masses is nothing short of revolutionary. They've been featured artists by the Warped Tour as well as My Space's New York bash. Their raw 80's (and almost Prince-ish) approach to hip hop offers all the entertainment your eyes could grasp, meanwhile hitting you with deep political messages to fill your ear without you noticing. Their party vibe is essential, outgoing, electric, and totally genuine.
