Album Notes

Hip Hop is now the biggest selling and most influential music genre in the world. It’s about lyrics from the heart and being true to your situation that comes across in the music.

Over the last few years the underground UK music scene has been graced with a young talent that is poised to make a definite entry into the music industry at large. To date, Jahaziel has built a name for himself making guest appearances on the hits of others. Some of those that have had the opportunity to feature Jahaziel in their work include Lemar, Craig David, US R&B singer Monica, Stacie Orrico, Four Kornerz, Nina Jayne, Nathan Prime and Raymond & Co. He also made a guest appearance on two tracks for Daniel Bedingfield’s platinum-selling and Grammy nominated album “Gotta Get Thru This.” He has appeared on stage with many of those artists plus other notables like Kim Burrell and platinum-selling US Gospel artist Kirk Franklin. For an extensive period he was the choice rapper for leading UK production outfit Blacksmith before stepping out to begin creating his own path.

Jahaziel represents an explosive mix of hard-hitting rhymes and captivating stage-craft that enables his message through Hip Hop to make its mark with any audience. But that’s only the start. His additional influence may come as a surprise for some when they hear Jahaziel twist the script, Reggae/Dancehall style. Owing to a Jamaican bloodline and musical input from his Uncle Maxi Priest, Jahaziel is no stranger to the notion of sound systems and Reggae culture. Add to that his upbringing in multi-cultural London, it’s safe to say that this rapper is guaranteed to bring a fresh approach to the worldwide Hip Hop game.

He has featured heavily on the live circuit which included co-founding the London Hip Hop collective Zion Noiz. He incorporates elements of all his experiences to produce music that not only impacts musical taste buds but acts as a positive force to the effect of giving listeners something to think about.

“ It’s about love. Love for God, love for Mankind and love for Music,” says Jahaziel.

With a limited amount of guest appearances and underground track releases, Jahaziel’s focus is now firmly on his official debut release. As with anything the south London rapper does, anticipation surrounds the project which will undoubtedly give people a talking point and make a new noise in Hip Hop.

CLASSIC!!! Im completely blown away by this man of God. He's truly one of the most talented artists I've ever come across, EVER. I cant stop listening to it. He comes with the Word when he raps. Every Christian artists aim should be to instill what Jesus said in their listeners. He does that and more. He's got one of the best flows and metaphors in the ENTIRE rap game secular and Christian. He said 'Without grace Bill couldn't step through the gates".....I heard that and lost my mind. He's TRULY inspirational to me. He raised the bar. What more can i say? Get this CD!
