Album Notes

Steadman Shearer aka Jah Jah Yute. Born and raised in the parish of Hanover Jamaica in an area called Rock Springs.

Jah Jah's fans say he has spiritual lyrics and sounds like Bob Marley and Admiral Tibit amd Gregory Issacs.

From Mo-Bay to Kingston, Jah Jah Yute and his Roots Rock Reggae style has shared the stage and been featured with such artist as Vibe Cartelm George Nooks, Paul Elliott, Ken Booth and many more.

His current hit GUN SHOT BLAZES, is a song of social conscience that asks why are brothers killing brothers and sisters killing sisters... It seems like they don't remember their Father... It's a shame theu lost their culture... The other tracks on the released LP are UNWANTED CHILD, SO MUCH THINGS TO SAY and PEACE IN THE HEART OF MEN, CHILDREN UNITE, NO WAR, ETC.

The CD entitled "Words Power on Sound" by Jah Jah Yute is a beautifully prepared piece of musical artistry loaded with full-fleshed urban Reggae sounds. A few seconds into a listen of this CD, and you feel like you're listening to Gregory Isaac or Bob Marley and you'll realize that Jah Jah is an impressive, authentic reggae artist. The general musical compositions and arrangements are well-reined. Jah Jah is a talented lyricist, with lyrics that are positively inspiring, informative and thoughtful. The CD has a strong spiritual element which seems to diffuse hatred and instill, in the heart, the love and peace that humanity share in common. "Children unite" is a tasteful reggae number that the ear couldn't detest. Why don't you have a listen? It has a positive message to a contemporary problem and sparks a strong sense of hope. The bass, guitar, drums and piano are well mixed and achieved a striking degree of harmony. The titles "Do Rasta work" "So Much Things to say" and " United we stand" are superb numbers with splendid richness of sonority that hold its reggae identities. If you enjoy real urban reggae with rich sonorous energy and inspiring lyrics like that of Gregory Isaac and Bob Marley, you will enjoy this CD. Pick up a copy today.
