ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jake Paul Band is a Sublime-style jam band that brings a good-feeling, party vibe to every show. This fun-loving quintet flows through original reggae, rock, and blues songs with an energy that owes more to Southern Cal than their Midwestern roots. In a recent review from The Shepherd Express (http://expressmilwaukee.com), the band was illuminated as, “Paul raps and sings while the rest of his quintet bridges the chasm between the pop-jam-band templates of Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic and Rusted Root and Sublime's stoner-ish punk reggae.”

Their debut album, “The Jailbreak” (Anamoly Records, 2011) earned its title when one of the band members had to be bailed out of Milwaukee County Jail to perform on Summerferst’s Harley Stage in 2011. Soon thereafter, the band began the creation process once again. “I don’t believe in coincidence, I believe in Providence,” Paul explains. Hence the name of their second album, “The Providence EP.”

The band’s originality stems from each member’s strongest musical influences:

Mike Balistrieri (Drums/Percussion) influenced by Umphrey’s McGee
“DanK” (Bass) influenced by The Dirty Heads & Sublime
Chad “Lawrence” Layton (Lead Guitar) influenced by Pink Floyd
Jack Bahston (Keys, Synth) influenced by Slightly Stupid & Sublime
Jake Paul (Lead Vocal, Rhythm Guitar) influenced by Sublime, Jack Johnson

The band is currently working on a new project, which is scheduled to release in the fall of 2012 under their label, Anamoly Records, LLC. Visit www.jakepaulmusic.com for more information.
