Album Notes

Jon Ashley and the Little Triggers hail from Louisville, Kentucky. Ashley's mother is a social worker, and his dad wrote for the Louisville Courier-Journal, setting the stage for his son's creative genius. Ashley's vocals run the spectrum from a full-throttle whiskey roar on "Fearles" to warm and reserved on "The Wounded and the Slain." Ashley's songs are both personal and provocative. They invite the listener to share his blood-red and purple bruises, with a little amber left over at the bottom of a shot glass. These songs blend anger and regret with cantankerous rock'n'roll and hard country.
