Album Notes

JAMBO is fun rootsy music for the whole family to enjoy. It’s funky bluesy music with excellent musicianship, solid grooves, and kid-friendly lyrics. With a heavy dose of slide guitar from "Blues Head" frontman, Steve Pierson, the album also features work by two time Grammy winning guitarist, Laurence Juber, and Banjo from Herb Pedersen, among others. The album also includes Gary Mallaber (Steve Miller Band, Van Morrison) on drums, Philip Bynoe (Steve Via) on bass, and Michael Murphy (Joe Walsh) on keyboards.

The songs speak to children’s imaginations. They are about growing up, sharing, and the inclusion of all children. They promote self-esteem, independence, and celebrate individuality. Of course, some of the songs are just about dancing, jumping and having a good time.
