James started playing piano at four years old and has never stopped. Well, that's not entirely true. He did have to sleep. The point is he acquired a love for music that moved beyond the point of no return thanks to his Godfather, Ervin Sapp, who taught him for 7 years until he passed away from AIDS in 1981.
James' real love lies in classical jazz, film music and musical theatre. He continued his musical training on his own for the next 25 years until enrolling in UCLA to learn how to score for film.
He has written four musicals, several film scores and 1 book. He has a wife, and three beautiful children.

By the way, once apon a time, in a town not so far away was a boy who wrote a song for a girl, do you have that song? I would really love to hear it.............
Love always and forever, your friend,

Hard to believe origianl music like this is still around.
author: Jazzman Tate
After listening and collecting cats like Keith Jared "The Monk", James Horner, Howard Shore et al. You figure most musicians these day are what you hear on the radio. Not this dude! It's hard to believe origianl music like this is still around. This cat is truly talented and someone should be listening. All but 1 or 2 tracks are really strong on this disc. I highly recomnmend you pick it up.
