Album Notes

James Bondo is simply 4 friends who have grown up together and played music together in Alameda, Ca. for over 25 years. Led by former Gregg Allman sax man Mark Showalter, their debut CD, "Lifetime Gone" has mixed r&b, progressive rock and blues to form this collection of life experiences and opinions about our existence on this planet. With Pat Potter and his smooth Pink Floyd like licks on lead guitar, Mark Trujillo's solid r&b style on bass and Dan Pereira's creative fills and heavy foot on drums, James Bondo creates a sound that is not only rythmic and creative, but depressing as well.

The 1st cut on the cd, "Mailman," is a tribute to the postal carriers of this country and the job that they do which is much more difficult than what it appears to the average person on the street. Showalter knows first hand what the employees of this overlooked profession go through as he just endured a 6 month temp job as a postal carrier in Napa, Ca.

James Bondo's "Lifetime Gone" would be a great gift for the postman in your neighborhood, or for anyone who has just simply pondered the question, "What the heck am I in for??"
