Album Notes
I was the studio body guard for John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1980 – unfortunately I was not their traveling body guard. I will be coming out with more religious songs shortly, five more songs for Israel. Recording songs for Israel is my main goal.

Extraordinary man, Extraordinary Songs!!
James McClain is a Gospel singer of the highest caliber who has been singing all his life. His song, "Children of Israel, God is on your side" came to him while riding on a NY city subway train. The vision of a little girl {7 years old} named "Shiraz" appeared to him. This occurred just two days after Shiraz and seven members of her immediate family were murdered by a Palestinian Suicide bomber disguised as a Rabbi. Mr. McClain says that Shiraz taught him how to sing the song. Since this time, James McClain has been writing songs for Israel. He continues to be in touch with surviving members of Shiraz's family in Israel. It took him eight months to locate them. McClain will release "Israel, God is going to wipe away your tears," this spring of 2009. James McClain is a member of "Americans for a Safe Israel" and is a regular guest on local Radio and Television shows in the Tri-state area. James McClain will soon appear on Rabbi Rock TV. McClain's music is extraordinary. It brings all the soul of Gospel and uses it to elevate Israel and the Jewish people. McClain’s voice is rich and comes from a profoundly inspired place. His song, “Before I die,” speaks of wanting to see the land of Israel before he dies. It references the Biblical scene of Moses seeing the land from afar and begging to enter it; same theme Martin Luther King Jr. of blessed memory, referenced in his, “I have a dream speech.” When I heard it I was completely moved to tears. The emotion in McClain’s voice is coming from a deep wellspring of yearning. He delivers every word with conviction! Some of the lyrics include: Somebody take me over across the river, I wanna, I wanna go on the other side where the land is free.. and I want to see the beauty of God from the other side… I want to go where it’s peaceful and quiet, I want to see all the joy and the happiness of life one more time before I, before I, before I die.
