Album Notes

Every year, Peter Tork and James Lee Stanley have been creating a Christmas cut for their many fans around the world. This year, Beachwood has joined with them to create, A Beachwood Christmas. Coupled with songs from the previous years, this is the first time we've offered the collection all together. Peter and James Lee are also joined this year by the estimable Tom Paxton, who's song It Was A Night Like This has never before been on disc. The incredible Pamala Stanley, who's Coming Out of Hiding (written by James Lee) was a Top Five for the year dance hit and a Grammy nominee for Best Song of the Year, and is still frequently heard in disco's around the world. This time Pamala is singing the classic, "Winter Wonderland", done to a New Orleans gumbo beat. Peter Tork is singing his famous, "I Remember Christmas", which has never before been offered on a commercial recording, as well as a joyous five string banjo inistrumental version of "Angels We Have Heard On High", and a one man show of P
T's Noel. James Lee has out done himself this year with his popular, "That's What I Want for Christmas"; a brand new classic, "Olde Fashioned Christmas"; and a spectacular melding of two favorites (Dance of the Sugar Plum Faeries and Deck the Halls into one amazing choral piece you must hear to believe); a solo guitar instrumental version of What Child Is This; and two accapella numbers - one a new melody to the Lord's Prayer, with James on all the voices, and the other sung with Pamala, entitled Flowers for the Living.
