Album Notes

Artist description
Hear James joined by Bonnie Raitt, Larry Carlton, Paul Barerre (Little Feat), Timothy B Schmit (Eagles), Rita Coolidge, and many other well known musicians who have contributed to gifted composer, vocalist and musician, James Lee Stanley's recordings. Brilliant acoustic guitar with a remarkably fluid voice. The melodies soar and the lyrics are poetry. This is music for the sophisticated listener; the intelligent listener; the educated listener.

James has recorded 18 albums so far, as well as producing Peter Tork of the Monkees first solo CD, two duet CD's with he and Peter Tork entitled Two Man Band and Once Again; Mike Pinder of the Moody Blues; Pamala Stanley (for whom he wrote the Classic Dance Hit, "Coming Out of Hiding"); scored all the Emmyu Award Winning CATHY Specials for Prime Time CBS-TV; scored the Cable Award Winning Tom Parks Special; and toured relentlessly over the past twenty years.

To see him live is to fall in love with his music and his remarkable personal warmth.

REVIEWS

If you like acoustic music at *all*, you will love this album!!!
author: Cassidy Fontana
This album always makes me think of a hot cup of cider on a winter's day by a crackling fire... pardon the imagery, but what it conveys is a feeling of comfort, security, integrity, and gentle honesty. It’s everything you want in an acoustic album. James has a unique, instantly recognizable voice that’s smooth, flowing, and flexible. He's a prolific songwriter, which helps him sing from the heart. Both the melodies and the guitar picking get stuck in one’s head, and the songs are lyrically poetic and meaningful. The highlights for me are: “Somewhere in Between”, one of my favorite JLS songs ever; it always makes me cry. “All The Time”, a love lullaby. “I Don’t Want to Talk About It”, which showcases an almost bluesy vocal and reveals his expressive singing ability. If you like acoustic music at *all*, you will love this album!!!

One Guy.... One Guitar...........One Great Cd!!!!!!!!
author: Rob Couch
No whistles, no bells, no electronic machines clattering away.....just a brilliant solo performance by James Lee Stanley. This is pretty much what you would hear from a JLS live show. Just James with his accoustic guitar and a batch of finely crafted tunes. This is the album you've been waiting 30 years for James Taylor to make. Mr. Taylor, you've been trumped!!
