Singer/Songwriter with an uplifting collection of infectious tunes...
author: Justin Thorne
The moment you hear the catchy opening track 'Firefly' you know you are in for an album filled with punchy, catchy and uplifting tunes.
As a big fan of singer/songwriters such as Jeff Buckley and Damien Rice, I am very demanding when it comes to solo artists. I like a strong voice with range and a songwriter who pays particular attention to lyrics... James did not disappoint.
'Dizzy' and 'Ocean' are highlights for me, there will be comparisons to Jeff Buckley, which is no bad thing and a Beatle influence is also present, great stuff.
