REVIEWS

I recommend it highly

The First Ray of Sunlight by violinist Jim Plattes is a rich and vibrant collection of instrumental string music with world-flavored percussion. The compositions are brilliantly crafted allowing the music to move lightly on its feet. Fans of violinist Jean Luc Ponty and the stylings of ECM will have plenty to enjoy from this release. I recommend it highly. Glen Helgeson, guitarist & composer.

Having been a fan of Fripp and Tibbetts for ages I have to say this music bears no resemblance to either. I'm not saying anything negative about the work. It is very finely crafted and the musicianship is top-notch.
