The James Vernon Trio combines versions of jazz standards with Vernon’s original work, synthesizing sources from modern "jazz" and modern "classical" palettes.
This is a live recording of acoustic piano, acoustic bass, and drums in a concert hall, with fine recording gear and without audience. The objective was to capture the natural sound of the instruments and ensemble in a listening environment. The dynamic range has been preserved as much as possible. (Because of this, you may wish to turn up the volume a bit as compared to pop recordings.)
