Album Notes

Born in Perth, Australia, James Wallace is an award-winning American performer, composer and producer. On a journey from subway platforms to Carnegie Hall, James has travelled and performed internationally, bringing a unique perspective to his music-making. “Everywhere I go,” offers James, “Our similarities as people far outnumber our differences: in the end, we desire the same things- love, acceptance, sharing- and I contribute as much as I can through my music.”

As a New York City performer, James wrote and recorded this CD as a mission of hope after 9/11, based on his travels and experiences across America. “I Feel the Winds of God” is a hymn reminding James of standing at the summit of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, where Indian chiefs would gather centuries ago. James recognizes this as a key spiritual moment to be shared in a recording (listen to track #8).

'Return to Good' rises like a gentle prayer: beautiful tones and a selection of rare instruments come as an invitation to listen, and to share. Enjoy unaffected beauty, charm and simple elegance in music by James Wallace, that’s classic, yet contemporary. Listen!
